Fall Semester 2025: In-Person Homeschool Classes
Mondays: 5th-6th & Wednesdays: 7th-9th
Class Options for Grades 7th-9th

In this lively, discussion-driven class, students dive into powerful stories that explore justice, identity, freedom, and courage. From censorship to activism, each book sparks deep conversations and real-world connections. Using the Socratic seminar style, students go beyond plot summaries and “fill in the blank” worksheets by bringing self-chosen quotes, questions, and insights to the table creating a personal connection to each book they read.
This isn’t just about reading books - it’s about shaping the minds of future thinkers, leaders, and change-makers and developing empathy for others. Students learn to analyze deeply, speak thoughtfully, and connect literature to the world they live in and the one they’re helping to build.

Brave Hearts, Bold Stories: Literature & Analysis Class
In this dynamic literature class, students will explore rich, age-appropriate novels that highlight courage, empathy, and moral growth - spanning genres from realistic fiction to fantasy. Through engaging discussions, literary analysis, and creative projects, they’ll develop essential skills in reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analysis.
Along the way, students will reflect on character choices, connect stories to real-life situations, and strengthen their ability to express themselves with clarity and confidence - both in writing and in conversation.
Drawing from the Socratic learning model, this class also encourages students to build a personal connection to the books they read and thoughtfully select quotes that resonate with them, deepening both understanding and insight.
