Hello! My name is Megan Wyatt, and I’ve been homeschooling since 2009. I’m the proud mother of four children. My oldest has now completed her master’s degree, my second is pursuing his undergraduate degree, and I continue to homeschool my younger two, who are now in high school and middle school.

I have been teaching kids in different educational settings for over twenty years.

I love creating classes that students genuinely look forward to each week. If the kids don't like being there they won't love learning! Which is a main goal of mine when teaching.

My teaching style centers around meaningful, tangible learning experiences.

Whether students are creating illustrated books, participating in dramatic performances, developing public speaking skills, completing hands-on projects, or even launching an online store, I believe learning is most impactful when students can experience the value of what they’re doing in real time.

I also enjoy challenging students to think deeply and express themselves with confidence. Spirited discussions and respectful debates are often a favorite part of my classes, as students learn to explore big ideas, support their opinions with evidence, and appreciate different perspectives in a welcoming environment.

Professionally, I bring a diverse background to the classroom.

I’m a published children’s book author, conference speaker, podcaster, and content creator. Since 2008, I’ve also worked as a certified life and relationship coach, helping individuals and couples navigate personal growth and healthy relationships.

I’ve also served as a Sunday Islamic school director, youth group leader, and educator, giving me the opportunity to teach and mentor students of all ages in both classroom and community settings. 

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies from The Ohio State University and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Hope International University in Fullerton, California.

Over the years, I’ve taught book clubs, literature, drama, history, creative writing, cooking, and public speaking.

My goal is to help students develop not only academic skills, but also curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom.

I love learning and growing along with my students and look forward to each semester of classes. That means your kids get a passionate teacher who loves being with them. 🙂

I currently live in South Orange County with my husband and children, where learning, creativity, and meaningful conversations continue to be a daily part of our home.
